One person's bric-à-brac is another person's treasure.

The proof can be found in this online shop dedicated to objects and accent furniture doomed to be waste, as well as to curiosities of all sorts which, once reinvented, become elegant and uncommon. It is not necessary to be a collector to visit and love this space, far from it. The desire to acquire affordable and emotionally charged objects that we are drawn to is enough.

In my opinion, some objects are simply too interesting to dispose of forever and many of them deserve to be saved. As a bargain-hunter, I know how to find these timeless treasures and to integrate, or reintegrate them, into our daily universe.

My motto: live for objects and breathe life back into them. There are numerous manners in which one can frame, hang or lay out objects and, most importantly, there are many ways to combine them, juxtapose them and to create a rhythm or an impact with them. An object can have a little humor, irony, rarity, or strangeness and one can introduce that into them by playing with its contrasts, dimensions, its colors, textures and emotional charge. To me, it is a question of acquiring objects that are full of memories and precious impressions of the past, rather than remote products devoid of life and soul. We must then accept and love those imperfections that render them unique and add to their charm.

Indeed, whether they are primitive or rococo, the objects and furniture that I find are beautiful and elegant. The interest lies in the details that make them unique. My esthetic criteria are simple, efficient and emotionally charged. They rely on a certain texture, a subtly patinated color, a flaw, a wear, a weakness, an alteration, a nice piece of work, a decorative element or an interesting practical aspect. They are selected with care and passion and, if need be, retouched with love and displayed artfully. I believe that they make up the most expressive elements of any space; this decorating style is for me, an artful way of living.
