Announcement Pike Street Press is a custom letterpress print studio and gallery located in Seattle below Pike Place Market. Our letterpress studio produces work that is printed on an antique printing presses. Letterpress is one of the oldest styles of printing, and at Pike Street Press we use modern techniques along with environmentally friendly processes to produce products that are both handcrafted and unique. Letterpress printing is inherently tactile and beautiful, and as a result of the handcrafted nature of letterpress, each print is subtly different. With letterpress, the raised image leaves behind a finely de-bossed impression that is both aesthetically pleasing and tactile. We strive to make the finest quality products while making products that we love. We have been providing our letterpress services to the Seattle area since March of 2011. Owner Sean Brown owns and operates the print studio. We love everything about letterpress printing. The inks, papers, and the printing itself is beautiful and nostalgic.
