PinataMama's Shop Announcement

It's been SO LONG since I have taken any pinata orders!

With my 30th birthday coming up in early October, I have been reflecting on my life goals and the accomplishments I was able to achieve during my mid-to-late 20's. This year, I was able to translate my creative talents, online work, and newly-completed education into a brand new job in Southern California. Oh, and I also have a new baby on the way - surprise!

When I first started my Etsy shop back in 2011, I had visions of becoming a major brand, giving back to the community through creativity, and turning myself into a real business woman. I wanted to use my crafting for good, however, it was the crafting that enabled me to provide for my family financially when we were only a single-income household. For this I am extremely humbled and grateful.

That being said, I still felt like something was missing in my life...

Now, with a solid brand and some major business experience under my belt, it's time for me to get back to my initial goal of being able to give to my community and provide support to families in need. As a childhood cancer survivor, I started paper crafting when I was young to try and escape my poor health and the time spent in the cancer ward of the children's hospital in my hometown of Tacoma, WA.

I am committed to using at least 50% of the total sales cost of each pinata sold toward creating mini pinata-inspired "craft kits" for kids in local hospitals. I want to create an escape for them through the use of art and their own creativity. Eventually, my goal is to become a real non-profit organization: PinataMama's Crafts for a Cure.

Please remember, pinatas, especially MY pinatas, take time to create. This is reflected in the price and overall execution of the final product. I would like for all potential clients to please plan accordingly when placing custom orders. Turn around time is typically one month.

Thanks again for your continued support! Have fun looking around, feel free to ask any questions, and as always, happy party planning!
