Crafting for Charity
Empecé a tejer cuando era adolescente. Era inevitable, ya que mi madre siempre ha tejido, cosido, hecho ganchillo y frivolité. Me encantaba aprender de ella y ahora tengo 40 años de experiencia. Siempre he tejido para amigos y familiares, y disfrutaba especialmente tejiendo para bebés recién nacidos.
Ahora tengo dos hijos maravillosos y me acabo de jubilar tras una carrera en el sector financiero.
Con más tiempo libre, he convertido mis aficiones en algo que otras personas también pueden disfrutar. Abrí mi primera tienda en Etsy en 2014 vendiendo bisutería con cuentas, pero ahora me centro en tejer, hacer ganchillo y pintar. Tejo mantas a ganchillo para la fantástica organización benéfica londinense Knit for Peace.
Todo el dinero que gano con las ventas de mi tienda de Etsy se destina a obras benéficas. Apoyo al centro de cuidados paliativos local, Mountbatten Hampshire, y cada céntimo marca la diferencia para ellos.

I started knitting when I was a teenager. It was inevitable as my mum has always knitted, sewn, crocheted and tatted. I loved learning from her and have now 40 years experience. I have always knitted for friends and family and especially enjoyed knitting for new babies.
I now have two lovely boys of my own and have just retired from a career in finance.
With more free time, I have turned my hobbies into something other people may enjoy too. I opened my first shop on Etsy in 2014 selling beaded jewellery, but am now focusing on knitting, crochet and painting. I crochet blankets for the fantastic London based charity Knit for Peace.
All the money made from sales from my Etsy shop go to charity. I support my local hospice called Mountbatten Hampshire and every penny makes a difference to them.
