Creating embroidery art to bring others joy.

I live in Vermont with my two children, one husband, two dogs, and two cats. We are fortunate to live in the fantastic town of Burlington, VT, where we love the community and culture our location brings to our lives. I am also fortunate to be part of local organizations such as Frog Hollow and Burlington Community Arts.

I began embroidering one winter over ten years ago when I found myself wanting to work with the bright, happy colors that the embroidery floss offers. I still gravitate towards these colors today, and you can see them in my current pieces. My goal is to create art that will bring joy to you and your home.

Through my shop, PixieTwine, I will be sharing my embroidery work. Most of my embroidery is handmade and done free hand. From time to time I embroider on other materials, such as fabric hoops.

I hope you enjoy my shop! Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Frequently asked questions
Do you create custom pieces?

Yes, most of the time. I often create state- or country-specific art by request. You can specify what state or country, which design you would like from my shop, and if you would like a heart placed to symbolize your special location. I also customize my abstract flower gardens in the size and color schemes. Please reach out to me if you have a custom order. Most times I can fulfill your request. I do reserve the right to not create orders that I do not feel confident I can complete.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I gift wrap any purchase for free upon request. When you check out there is an "add a note" button, simply write me a note requesting gift wrapping.

Care instructions

In order to clean your PixieTwine art, simply wipe it down with a a cotton cloth. Do not use paper products, as they will sometimes pill and leave bits of paper behind.

Do you use patterns for your embroidery?

I do not use patterns for any of my wildflower gardens. They are all created free hand. My state art and pop art pieces have the outline of the art sketched on them before I begin.

Do you sell your patterns?

I do not currently sell my patterns as most my pieces are created freehand.

Where can I see your work in person?

Currently Frog Hollow and Thirty-Odd in Burlington are carrying select pieces of my art. I also show my work in local businesses, and at art shows.

How long does one piece of art take to create?

The amount of time that a piece of art varies by piece. My mini-flower gardens take me about four hours, as does my small Vermont pieces. My largest pieces take hundreds of hours.

Custom and personalized orders

I am attracted towards working with bright colors. Embroidering with bright colors not only makes me happy, but also inspires me. It is my hope that my art will move on to bring joy to you and your home.

Do you sell wholesale to shops or do consignment work?

If you are interested in selling my products at your business please reach out. If we can come to a fair agreement I am open to either of these options.
