5 out of 5 starsCheng’s portrayal of girls, people of color, single-parent and lower-income families, recluse introverts, and the kids who act out in class are positive and fair-minded–encouraging young readers to really get to know others and to look beyond the perceptible, seemingly insurmountable, differences between themselves and those around them. Eunice is a positive role model and engaging hero—her growth throughout the novel, open acknowledgement of her flaws, and persistence in bettering herself provides the kind of example that any adult would be proud to introduce to the youth in their lives. It’s exciting that recipes for delicious foods being consumed by the characters are included—great for reading breaks. Cheng is a talented storyteller who provides a story to grow the next generation to be open-minded and cultivate strong women

5 out of 5 starsI read this when first published but did not have the illustrated version! It shipped so quickly and came with delightful stickers! The illustrations are fantastic and the story itself is wonderful. So good that I ordered a few for my kid's school library!

5 out of 5 starsFinally received something awesome in the mail! I love Peg's story, how she explains the different investments and provides other resources. I have hope for my financial future.
Rebel Millionaire is a great guide and all teens and young adults should have a copy. I will definitely keep you in mind when I need a gift for a young person or anyone who doesn't have a clue about money and savings.
Thanks for the cute stickers too! :) -

5 out of 5 starsI loved *everything* about this purchase, from the thoughtful little additions (including a note & stickers), as well as the book itself.
I've done my fair share of personal finance reading and, well, this is probably the single best thing I've read. Why? So effortlessly simple + effective. As I'm about to turn 31, this is *just* the nudge I needing to start saving and investing for my future. Thank you Peg & PlaidFrogPress! In a few years' time, I have a funny feeling I'll be thanking you. :)

READ GOOD STUFF
We’re Peg Cheng and Marcus Donner, the team behind Plaid Frog Press, a Taiwanese-Mexican-German-American-owned indie publisher based in Seattle. Our company is named after our pal Froggy (who's also our CFO: Chief Frog Officer) and our motto is READ GOOD STUFF.
We create our books, zines, and stickers in our home studio in Seattle, but because we love to see the world, sometimes the magic happens while we're exploring other towns, cities, and countries. We enjoy all parts of the publishing process from creating and designing the product, to printing it with the help of Mixam in Illinois and Sticker Mule in New York, to packing orders with eco-friendly materials from EcoEnclose in Colorado. All of our stuff is proudly printed in the U.S.A. and shipped to you with love.
If you like our stuff, please favorite our shop and write a review. Every review is like GOLD to us and every kind word keeps us going. Thank you for supporting indie authors and artists!
The pandemic is an absolute travesty, but we're trying to stay positive through dreaming, writing, drawing, and photographing beautiful things. Makers gotta make and making stuff helps us feel better. We look forward to the day when we can safely meet you in-person at a small press or zine festival. Until then, we hope you stay well, and if you have any questions or comments, email us at: books {at} plaidfrogpress {dot} com. We'd love to hear from you!
Love,
Peg + Marcus + Froggy

Gift wrapping and packaging
We don't offer gift wrapping but if you're ordering a gift for someone, we're happy to decorate the shipping envelope or box with cute stickers and can also enclose a personalized note for your recipient. Just let us know what you'd like us to write in the NOTES box at checkout.
Do you offer USPS tracking of my order?
Yes, we do. But please be aware that some items are too small or light to qualify for USPS tracking, so on some orders we'll only be able to tell you the date it shipped.
Why does it cost so much to ship to countries outside of the U.S.?
We're bummed about this too, especially in regards to our books. Please know that we charge what the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) charges, and sadly, these prices are shockingly high. We've checked with FedEx, UPS, and DHL and they charge even more so we're sticking with USPS.
Because our zines and stickers are light and flexible, they can be sent at international "letter" rates which makes shipping them more affordable.
We're creating ebook versions of all our printed books so that customers residing outside of the U.S. can read our books at an affordable price.
If you know of ways to ship internationally at cheaper rates, contact us at books {at} plaidfrogpress.com. Thank you!
I have more questions after reading your policies.
We're open to answering any and all questions. Email us at: books {at} plaidfrogpress.com.
