Announcement   Welcome to my shop where I sell my needle felted creations that are inspired by natural history. I just finished two very intensive projects with which I have been busy all year, so now I finally have some time to take custom orders. I also just slashed some prices to make room for new work. Have fun poking around!

About

Finding my Voice

I am part naturalist and part artist, always trying to gain an understanding about the natural world. I work to gain an understanding of the natural world through recording and interpreting it for others. Even though my sculptures depict animals, my latest body of work, especially concerning my larger pieces, is about human relationships. The fact that I am a mother is no coincidence; I spend a lot of my time thinking about the relationships between myself and my children, and their relationships to each other.

I make art to help me gain clear ideas about what I see in the world, and it helps me to see how I relate to others as well. I think that there is much healing that happens when we relate to another person through common experiences. I hope that those who view my work can see the echos of their own lives and relationships in my work.

Thank you for visiting my shop. My art is a creative and expressive outlet for me and I find that I become unhappy if I don't spend a little time each day creating. In addition to making art I am currently staying home to take care of my young boys. . Many of my pieces are expressions of the stories that I make up to tell them. I also enjoy studying the world around me and see my work as a kind of response. I earned a bachelors degree in Art at Humboldt State University where I focused on ceramics but also enjoyed painting/drawing, biology, and foreign language.

Payment
I accept payments through Paypal or Etsy's direct checkout. .You may cancel your order if I have not yet shipped it, however if it has been shipped I can not cancel it. I will take returns excepting shipping.
Shipping
I ship twice a week, generally on Tuesday or Thursday. I will send your item as soon as the money has cleared on one of these shipping days. With paypal this happens immediately, so I will send your item the next day after it is purchased if it is already made. With direct deposit payment can take a couple of days to clear, but I will send it as soon as it does.

I realize that shipping costs are expensive, but it really does cost me this much to send your item. I buy insurance for all items over $100 which adds a small fee, and it pays for packing material and shipping as well. I ship with USPS, FedEx, or UPS depending on many different factors. All items are insured, so if something gets broken let me know immediately so that I can contact the post office to get reimbursed and then I can get started making a replacement. All packages will have a tracking number and I will send this too you once I ship it so you can know where your package is while traveling. All orders are automatically shipped to your ETSY address, so please make sure that it is correct.
Refunds and Exchanges
Once a package has been shipped, it is the responsibility of the postal service, FedEx, or UPS to deliver it safely to you. I understand that sometimes packages get lost and thus every order has a tracking number to try to prevent this. Since I ship with insurance, many packages will require a signature.

If for some reason your order never arrives and the tracking information shows it hasn't made it to you, I will wait twenty one days for orders in the US or sixty days for international orders before issuing a refund. Sometimes a package is delayed before reaching it's destination.

If an item arrives damaged, I will require photos of the damages. If an item is truely damaged (broken or unusable) I will issue a refund. This only applies to any listings that contain polymer clay. I will not replace felted creations that are damaged or become frayed by misuse.
