I'm Amy Gorin, MS, RDN, a plant-based registered dietitian nutritionist. I love helping people eat healthy, which is why I've decided to make my meal plans and tip sheets available here on Etsy!

Amy Gorin, MS, RDN is a nationally recognized, award-winning registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), media personality, speaker, nutrition consultant, and writer in the New York City area. She is the owner of Amy Gorin Nutrition LLC.

As a longtime vegetarian and now pescatarian RDN, Amy's focus is in plant-based eating. She also has expertise in weight management, healthy aging, and general nutrition.

Amy is a highly regarded freelance nutrition writer and is one of the most-quoted media dietitians in the country. She has completed and written more than 2,000 combined media interviews and freelance articles for top-tier media outlets.

As a top-tier media RD, Amy has been interviewed by hundreds of media outlets, including U.S. News & World Report, New York Post, Self.com, Shape, Prevention, Women's Health, and EverydayHealth.com. Her on-air portfolio includes CBS Up to the Minute, CBS Power Up Your Health, NBC News, and the Associated Press.

Amy is a frequent contributor to highly regarded publications, including Parade, NBCNews.com, FoxNews.com, Shape.com, WomansDay.com, WomensHealthMag.com, EverydayHealth.com, ReadersDigest.com, FoodNetwork.com, and Runner's World. Before Amy went back to school to become a dietitian, she held nutrition and health editor positions at Health, Prevention, Weight Watchers Magazine, WeightWatchers.com, Parents, and American Baby.

She enjoys creating healthy recipes, several of which have appeared in The Runner's World Vegetarian Cookbook (Rodale Books, 2018), The MIND Diet (Ulysses Press, 2016), Runner's World Meals on the Run (Rodale Books, 2015) and The Runner's World Cookbook (Rodale Books, 2013). Amy also publishes her favorite recipes on her personal blog, Amy's Eat List.

Amy is proud to have served as a judge for the 2018 UpwaRD program for up-and-coming RDNs, a 2018 and a 2017 Unilever Agent of Change, and an April 2016 Today's Dietitian Magazine RD of the Day.

Amy shares her media knowledge by offering media coaching services to other RDNs, health professionals, and freelance writers. She also co-runs the Master the Media e-course, which teaches RDNs, health care and public health professionals how to get their names in the news.

In addition to speaking on panels and presenting to companies, Amy serves as a consultant and spokesperson to food- and nutrition-focused brands and commodity boards—helping to create effective media messaging, conducting interviews, and developing recipes.

To obtain her education in nutrition, Amy completed her Dietetic Internship at Utah State University and her Didactic Program in Dietetics at New York University. Becoming an RDN requires the completion of 1,200 supervised practice hours and the passing of the Commission on Dietetic Registration's dietetic registration exam.

To maintain the RDN credential, a registered dietitian must complete 75 continuing-education hours every five years. Amy is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Food & Culinary Professionals Didactic Practice Group, and the Nutrition Entrepreneurs Didactic Practice Group.

Additionally, Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art Studies from the University of Florida, as well as a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University.
