Sophia was very easy to work with! I am so so please with my bibs. They are of simple design, aborbent and large enough to protect my baby from food "spilage" even when she moves them around and pulls on them. They secure well in the back and are well made. I don't think that we will need any more bibs for her as she grows because they are far better fitting and larger than store bibs. nI received my package within the designated time and it was carefully packaged. nI will definitely be buying from her in the future for baby gifts etc.
The first blanket...
In 2004, my husband and I welcomed our first child and we were showered with many gifts. One of them, was a homemade blanket from my husband's grandmother, Elna. At first glance, this blanket was a little confusing - with this square and ties right in the middle? Grandma explained, it was a pocket - for him to fit in!
As time passed, this became my favorite blanket to use - his feet never kicked out, we could pass him from one set of arms to another without having to rewrap him, and the long sides kept him snuggly and warm. Fast forward to 2012, we just brought home our 3rd child - and I'm settling in to a 3 month maternity leave... with a new sewing machine! As I unpacked all of the blankets and clothes for the new baby, I came across Grandma Elna's blanket again - and set out to try and recreate it. After many prototypes, I finally got it down and she had a nice set of blankets for fall.
As our new little girl was brought along to soccer games and football games and hockey tournaments, more and more people commented on her "Pocket Blankets" - so much so, that I started making some for friends. Then, I started making some more... just because. And now, well... it's time to sell them, before my sewing room becomes buried in adorable little baby blankies.
I hope you like them, and your child does too. I'm always open for feedback, or ideas on new designs and color combinations. If you don't see one you like, just let me know - and I'll track down a fabric you do like!
