I ordered this as a gift for my mother and she adores it. Thanks for all the freebies in the box as well. :)

Super cute print but ours arrives with a crease and the bend left a white spot on the gray background. :( We just didn't have enough time before our open house to get it fixed so we embraced it, framed it and have been loving it ever since!

About

What doesn't kill you..

My parents are Old School. Born during the depression, they grew up without much more than the necessities. They never throw anything out. They tie broken rubber bands back together. The house I grew up in is part museum, part time capsule. From a young age, I was repeatedly told two things: things were better in the 'old days' and that quality matters.

Growing up, I never wanted to own a lot of stuff. I wanted to have less stuff of better quality. I went to Architecture school with the hopes of designing my entire world. After spending 15 years in the profession, I was saddened by how many people who love Design are forced to live in a world relatively absent of it. The buildings and homes we make today are done by the lowest bidder and made from the most 'cost effective' materials. As an Architect, I wanted to find a way to live in a modern world that I could afford.

In 2007, I started Pocono Modern with the goal of building a modern home in Pennsylvania for under $100 per square foot. To date, we have built six houses that we have bestowed upon some pretty happy people. The houses led to furniture made from the framing scraps (I can't escape my parents entirely) which led to things like pillows and art. We celebrate the better things from bygone eras (like Pyrex) and use those things to inspire new things that we design. In 2013, we even opened a full on brick and mortar shop in Chester, NJ.

We love being part of the ETSY community where we can dialogue with other people who believe that small gestures can make a big difference. Our houses or products may never become mainstream, but we definitely love the idea that our work puts a smile on so many other people's faces. Thanks for checking us out and drop us a line if you have any questions about our work.

Best,
Kraig
