POETIC is een in Dallas gevestigde non-profitorganisatie die de problemen bestrijdt die re-victimisatie bestendigen onder jongeren die commerciële seksuele uitbuiting en sekshandel hebben ervaren. We bieden een school op locatie, traumatherapie, kunsttherapie en arbeidsbemiddelingsdiensten zonder kosten voor POËTISCHE meisjes en hun families.
Door de systemen aan te pakken die slachtofferschap in stand houden, ontsteekt POETIC een beweging om het idee te verwerpen dat jongeren kunnen worden gekocht en verkocht. Bij POETIC worden jongeren niet gedefinieerd door hun omstandigheden en ervaringen. In plaats daarvan worden ze gemachtigd om de auteurs van hun leven te worden.

POETIC is a Dallas-based nonprofit organization that combats the issues that perpetuate re-victimization among youth who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. We provide an onsite school, trauma therapy, art therapy, and employment services at no cost to POETIC girls and their families.
By addressing the systems that perpetuate victimization, POETIC is igniting a movement to reject the notion that youth can be bought and sold. At POETIC, youth are not defined by their circumstances and experiences. Instead, they are empowered to become the authors of their lives.
