5 out of 5 starsI had such high expectations from this 'zine and I am happy to say it surpassed them!!!!!!!!!! The quality was stellar! The words, the imagery (both visual and literary), the art literally imitates life in a perfect manner. I loved this will continue to support in every way I can!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 starsIt’s hard to express what this zine does... how it creeps up on you. The visual poems and texts alternate between touching and searing, but they are always vulnerable in a way that is completely disarming. If felt that I got an insight into this poet's life and I'm more understanding because of it. Lyn, you made a wonderful piece of art!

5 out of 5 starsIt's a great read, it almost feels like a time capsule. Every page is emotionally charged and if I had to categorize the book I would consider it to fall under romance. There are so many ups and downs, highs and lows, and words of affirmation. It's truly a pleasure to own one of Lyn's zines as they are usually crafted with much intention, a huge amount of love and limited supply.

5 out of 5 starsWhat a great collection of photos and writing from 2020! This author did a lot of work during the lockdown, so that she could share her experience with the rest of us. Many hilarious moments!

5 out of 5 starsA Screenshot of a ( continuous coming of) Age within a (bizarre) Time . . . This is the second of Lyn's zines I have picked up & I have such a deep appreciation for both of them. Everything sucks & I hate it here is a screenshot of millennial existentialism, 'tude, & listlessness throughout the conundrum that was 2020. Tackling tough topics of our modern time such as dating in the digital world, socio political unrest, environmental instability, & much more Lyn challenges us to question our norms & sit with our discomfort with a cheeky & casual tone. The quality & aesthetic of the physical zine itself are also very well done.

5 out of 5 starsThis zine is fantastic, so unique and beautiful imagery to go along with the poems. Very entertaining, I read front to back first sit down with it. And will read it again. *chefs kiss*

5 out of 5 starsLyn Patterson is a phenomenally talented creator. ‘Everything Sucks & I Hate It Here’ is deeply vulnerable, bewitchingly beautiful, and pulses passionately with life, inviting the audience further in with each turn of the page. Thank you for bringing this collection of images, poetry, and snippets of your life into the world; it is truly a gift.
