What: Whimsy, fun, and function inspire me to create one-of-a-kind purses, bags, totes, wallets, quilts, and more from unique fabric combinations. The 2-in-1 Purse with its reversible outer pocket is my specialty; wearers can change their accessory look with a flip of the outer pocket - allowing for perhaps frivolity on one side vs possibly calm/sedate on the other side. I welcome custom orders and relish working with clients to fulfill individual requests.
Why: As I pondered the daunting idea of retirement, i knew that I would need something new and very different to challenge me. Rekindling a passion for sewing and learning to quilt gradually nudged me into the idea of selling my products. With lots of encouragement from my husband, family, and friends, Poggy Purses Plus: bags & blankies became a reality.
