I'm originally from Germany where I met and fell in love with my husband.
I don't think I can remember a time when I wasn't creative, but my introduction to Waldorf dolls came when my youngest sister attended a Waldorf School.
My mom had a gift store in our town where she also sold Waldorf dolls and other natural toys. I fell in love with them right away.
Their sweet, simple faces, how they were made and the philosophy behind them captivated me
I made my first doll after I started having my own children. It took many more years for me to pursue doll making in more detail.
Since then I have also made many other natural toys and there are so many more ideas to realize.
There are still many roads to travel ......

Based on the Rudolf Steiner/ Waldorf Philosophy a doll inspires children to develop and strengthen creative play and imagination. Waldorf inspired dolls have simple facial impressions that leave lots of room for the child to imagine the dolls feelings.
Creative playing helps children to develop nurturing and a sense of their own “self”.
Isn’t that something we need more of in our world today?? Children are also heavily oriented on their senses, therefore natural materials are a wonderful choice. Sheep wool retains the child’s body warmth and smell, is naturally antibacterial, soft and keeps it shape.
Every doll and toy I make is unique and will be a special, loved friend for your child for many years to come.
