Hey friends. My name is Rebecca Galatas and I'm a native of New Orleans and Southern Louisiana. I graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelors in Psychology, but my long-time passion has always been sculpture and jewelry-making. My dream is to create pieces that speak to you intimately and emotionally. I want to breathe a unique life and beauty into my work. You are beautiful and your jewelry should match that beauty, even highlight it. I take pride in the sweat and tears I put into my degree, but the high I feel when crafting with my hands makes me truly happy. Your eyes are bombarded with thousands of artists preaching their own dreams, so thank you for even considering my work worthy of your time.
I use a plethora of materials and mediums, including epoxy resin, polymer clay, wire-wrapping, metal-working and stamping, suede, leather, feathers, dried flowers, and acrylic and oil paints. You never know what might appear in my shop day to day, so check back often.
