Something for the Auction?

As a retired teacher, I had time to get involved in rescue work for papillon dogs. Each year Pap Haven Rescue holds online auctions to raise money for the vet bills of rescued dogs and... I thought I could make a nice dog bed. I did make several, and those beds sold well. I made more ... and more!
In July of 2013, I opened Poochy Galore to allow for a continuing stream of income/donations to Pap Haven Rescue, Pap 911 and Pap Adopters ... all 501C papillon dog rescue groups. For each bed sold, I donate $10.00 to whichever papillon rescue the buyer chooses.
I am always seeking new ways to improve the beds and welcome feedback on my products from customers. I now use Revoloft stuffing (the best I can find) exclusively. I am constantly seeking new and beautiful patterns in Minky materials from vendors online and in the garment district in Los Angeles, CA.
Every aspect of Poochy Galore is managed by one person... ME! I find, buy, cut, sew, mail, keep records... everything is done by just me. I enjoy making the beds... and hope you and your pet will enjoy the beds you purchase!
Fabric… variable depending on cost per yard. Can be as much as $20/yard and as little as $7 or $8 a yard if on sale and available locally to avoid shipping. Avg cost per bed estimated at $15.00
Stuffing…. Revoloft stuffing most recently cost $65 for 20 pounds on Amazon. Between 1.6 pounds used per bed… $3.20/ pound so… the cost to fill one bed is estimated to cost $5.12.
Ribbon… Polyester 2.2” ribbon from Hairbow cost about $0.75 per yard.
Eyelets… Estimated at $0.50 for two sets.
Silk Cord… 3 yards cost $0.75 at Hobby Lobby
Cord Lock… $0.60 for one cord lock.
Velcro… Estimated to be $0.25
Shipping bags… Two used for each shipped bed… $0.50 for two ordered on Amazon.
Etsy charges… to list each bed and percent of the sell price is 3.5%. Total cost varies but the average is estimated for each bed sold at the price of $50.00 is $2.50.
Fabric.. $15.00
Stuffing.. $5.12
Ribbon.. $0.75
Eyelets.. $0.50
Silk Cord.. $0.75
Cord Lock $0.60
Velcro.. $0.25
Shipping bags $0.50
Etsy Charges $2.50
Total of actual costs for materials per bed= $25.97
Donation to rescue = $10 per bed sale makes total I spend for each bed $35.97.
So… if beds are sold at $50.00 each and costs to me are - $35.97, that leaves $14.03 to cover my labor (cutting, sewing, packaging, transporting to shippers, communication with buyers, posting of items online). Since it takes about three hours of labor to make a bed, I am making less than $5/ hour!

Returns and exchange details
You would first contact me through Etsy. If the difficulty cannot be resolved, you will need to ship the bed back to me for a replacement to be sent out.
The usual forms of payment are accepted... credit card or PayPal. I do not ship out the beds until payment has been made.
I ship the beds in high quality shipping bags by USPS Priority mail. Tracking is available for you to track your order. I ship only one bed at a time, so even if you order two beds, each one is shipped separately.
