Announcement    Poody and Berty, are Clare Mayo and Jaq Thompson. We are sisters who started making a few things to sell at local craft fairs. Our gifts and homewares were very popular so we set up 'Poody and Berty'. The name comes from nicknames we used for each other and it seemed perfect for our business.

Our gifts and homewares are chosen to compliment each other and to bring fresh ideas for your home. We are passionate about our products and are always on the look out for exciting and interesting ideas for the shop. We enjoy the countryside and nature and love finding materials that reflect this, especially with animals and wildflowers.

Once a week, we meet up for a 'business meeting' which usually means having a cream tea in our local garden centre. This is where we brainstorm new ideas and make plans. Besides our Etsy shop we have our own e shop for our products and we trade at craft and artisan fairs and country shows. We love meeting new people and it's lovely to be in touch with our customers.

Hello and welcome to Poody and Berty. We hope you enjoy looking through our shop. We enjoy designing and making home accessories and gifts using natural materials. All our fabrics are 100% cotton and we use mostly British wools which we buy locally. Thank you for visiting our store.

We accept all Etsy methods of payment including PayPal

We will accept cheques but no goods will be shipped until the cheque has cleared in our bank account. This may impact of the delivery date considerably.

Orders will only be dispatched when payment is cleared

If you wish to cancel or change your order then please do so as soon as possible or within 24 hours because they may be shipped after this time.

We always aim to help customers by completing orders quickly so they are not left waiting too long for their goods.

Requests for customised products or for multi products that may require extra fabric or wool to be ordered will take longer to produce. We use local suppliers for most of our fabrics and wools. However, if it's a colour if design not stocked by our regular supplier we may need to source it elsewhere and this will lengthen the time needed to make the goods.

All our parcels and packages are shipped by Royal Mail First Class Post. Items will be carefully packed to ensure they arrive safely. In the event of a parcel being lost by Royal Mail, we will send a replacement of a refund after 14 working days from the previous posting date. Working days are Monday to Friday.

We are not responsible for a parcel if we have been given the wrong delivery address. We are also not responsible if parcels are held up in customs or postal services outside the United Kingdom. Any duty or import taxes are the responsibility of the customer and these charges are not included in the price of any product or postage or shipping charges. We stress that these charges will be the buyers responsibility. We strongly advise you to check with your country's customs to determine what these additional costs will be prior to any purchase.

DELIVERY TIME
Generally, the post will get the items to the USA or Jaoan in about 2 weeks or sometimes less. Postage within Germany and EU will take about 3 days or less. However, sometimes parcels can get held up in customs which may take longer.

Shipping to Europe takes between 3/5 days.

INSURANCE
