I cannot recommend her more highly. Worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. Really love her. Go with the spear.

About

Farm Girl Goes From "Rags to Witches"

My designs were first developed as an historical interpretation for schoolchildren: a simple project to stimulate interest in needlework. Soon I found myself compulsively forming kitchen witches, princesses, and all manner of slightly creepy critters! Now my home is littered with tiny brooms, pitchforks, paper fans, muskets, yet still I look to create new poppets. The magic is real, for how they have cast their enchantments upon me!

On our small North Florida farm, we raised vegetables and poultry, and my mother taught me the traditional handcrafts. Years later, I would work in a living history museum, where I could pass these skills on to those interested in learning about simpler times.

Hello and welcome! My poppets were developed as an historical interpretation for schoolchildren--a simple project to stimulate interest in traditional crafts--but soon I found myself compulsively forming kitchen witches, vikings, longhunters, and colonial folk. My home is littered with tiny brooms, pitchforks, paper fans, and muskets, and still I look to create new poppets. The magic is real, for how they have cast their enchantments upon me!

My rag doll poppets are approximately 4" to 5" tall, made from high quality, all new materials (usually off cuts from historic costumes) and come in many colors and styles. Each poppet is sewn with a thread loop for hanging, and a metal hook may be attached at the buyer's request at no additional cost.

I love a challenge, and welcome custom orders, so please contact me with any questions about items, additional colors & styles, shipping options, etc.
