Porcelain cameo's, ceramic beads and luxurious gemstone necklaces, bracelets and earrings made on my journey with clay and semi-preceious gems.

I was a lawyer, and I am beginning to consider myself an artist, although it sounded strange when I first heard my husband refer to me that way. I trained and worked as a lawyer for 17 years, but during that time I always loved art and anything creative. I was really an artist trapped in the need to earn a living body of a lawyer. So I collected other peoples work. I still do and love contemporary art and I have a developing collection of contemporary painting, drawing, prints and sculpture.

After collecting art for about 10 years, and giving up the practice of law to work full time as a mother, I decided that maybe I should create some art of my own.

I started taking classes in clay. I got obsessed, bought a wheel and a kiln. Started making jewelry with clay. Still obsessed, so I set up this Etsy shop so I could divest myself of some of the things I made and make more.

I am not sure when it first occurred, but somewhere recently I started trying to wire wrap and make things with gemstone beads. I got obsessed with the beauty of the beads, their color, and the wonderful whimsical things that came about when you wrapped them together in different ways. Now thousands of gemstones later, I hope you like some of my "art" as much as I love making it.

I am new to pottery and trained as a lawyer not an artist. But I have been collecting and loving art for about 10 years. I decided recently to start making some art and I choose ceramics because the possibilities are endless and the process magical

Additional policies and FAQs
All my ceramic beads, pendants and charms are fired at least twice, and are pretty tough! However, they are ceramic, and like any china or ceramics may chip or break if dropped on a hard surface, floor tiles etc.. The same is true for gemstones beads. If buying for children (not reccomended) please excersize normal parental guidance and be aware of dangers of swallowing, breakage etc..

All items are glazed and smooth on both sides. If in doubt please contact me - I am always very happy to chat or send further pics!
