Mama Goes Crazy

Lord knows we don't need the media calculating how difficult or easy our lives are.... Mamas from all walks of life know the unbelievable challenges, drama, and cHaOs that motherhood brings. And we learn very quickly that the path to sanity lies in stealing moments for yourself, and immersing yourself in something that is solely your own.

In my case, this beautiful and blessed bedlam led me to a desire to make jewelry ~ that, and the fact that I could rarely find things I liked! ;) COLOR is a necessity for life: it's uplifting, moving, and inspirational. In simpler terms, it makes me happy! So Posh Patina was born out of a need to have something of my own, and the desire to make the things I could never find, and it has quickly grown to become a part-time business that helps support our family of 5!

My husband James helps me out when I get overwhelmed, and he makes my post office runs every week, so I don't have to drag the kids. I wouldn't be able to do this without him, and for their part, the kids have *finally* learned to stop getting into my supplies. ;)

I'm so grateful to be a part of this Etsy community; I have made the loveliest friends, and met the sweetest customers. I hope to dabble in this marvelous craft for a long time to come!

I grew up in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains of NC, and the vibrant colors of these beautiful mountains are in my blood! Crafting and designing jewelry is my creative outlet, and I especially love being able to share it with my daughter, Elena!

I have a great sense of style, and I love to accessorize! I love being a part of the design process: picking out beads and paints, adding patina to the jewelry, and hunting for unique finds. Working with my mom is so much fun, and a big help to her.

  • James

James wears many hats, including mailman, wrapper, and computer tech, but his most important role is giving me moral support and encouragement. As much as he'd like to, I won't let him design anything, since all his suggestions involve LED lights...

Shop policies

Thank you so much for stopping by Posh Patina! I make jewelry because I enjoy it, and I sell it because I want to spread a little of that fun! Aside from the rings bases, which are purchased from a fellow Etsian, and unless otherwise noted, all of my pieces are brass or metal filigree components that are either wire wrapped or hand painted by me with acrylic paints (front side only - backs are usually painted but not detailed like the fronts), which I then seal twice with a clear acrylic sealer. Since each piece is handmade, no two pieces will be exactly the same. It is also normal for the metal to show through the paint a bit, giving it that wonderful faux-patina finish. The more you wear your jewelry, the more the metal rubs through ~ this is really part of its charm!

My shop policies are intended to make the buying process as simple and straightforward as possible. If you have a question that is not addressed here, just convo me and I'll do my best to meet your needs.

I want you to be happy with your purchase, and I want you to be a returning customer! If the item you ordered has a defect or breaks due to normal wear, I will either replace it, repair it, refund your money minus shipping, or offer you an exchange of equal value within 30 days of purchase. Payment is expected at the time of purchase. If I have not received your payment within 24 hours, the sale will be cancelled through Etsy and I will repost the item.
I'll package your item in a pretty organza bag, and will mail it in a bubble mailer via the USPS First Class within 1-3 business days. *Once the package has left my hands, I am no longer in control of how long it takes to reach its destination. The Postal Service can take anywhere between 3 and 10 days to reach destinations in the US, and 2 - 4 weeks to reach destinations worldwide.*

If you need your package delivered within a specific time frame, please convo me prior to ordering so we can work out a faster shipping option and payment.

2 - 3 Day Priority Mail (domestic only) will cost an additional $3.50, for a total shipping charge of $6.50.

If this is an international order, the buyer is responsible for any customs fees or duties, and *please be aware that shipping can take *as long as* 4-6 weeks (though this is not common). Again, once the package has left my hands, I cannot control how long delivery will take.*

Packages will be sent to the address on your Etsy invoice. Please make sure that it's accurate!

If this is a gift that is being sent to someone else, please leave me a message in the "Note to Seller" box at checkout. I'll be happy to include a note.
