Where have you been and where are you going?

We started Pratts Patch when we discovered that our home just could not take any more vintage lovelies.

We have collected for many years and both of our children have inherited the collecting bug. See my daughters blog

The feeling of finding a hidden treasure and the wish to share it with other lovers of old is exhilarating, each new find excites. We are also so taken with the quality and beauty of items made in times gone by. Not only so useful but enchanting to look at and built to last which is sadly not always the case today in our 'throw away-replace' times now.

I often see modern day reproductions of items we have in our shop, they don't reproduce the history or quality just the look - and cost so much too!

The recycling nature of our shop is so important to us- hence where have you been and where are you going?!

We obtain our lovely finds at auctions far and wide, flea markets, car boot sales and thrift stores and our pricing reflects our ethos of sharing these lovely treasures - we enjoy it and it enables us to be surrounded by things we love and also to let them go when it is time!

At Prattspatch we love collecting old and unwanted curios and surrounding ourselves with lovely items from the past. Our love of collecting and having a small home means we need to say goodbye to some items when we say hello to others!

Welcome to PrattsPatch where I sell a collection of lovely vintage and hand-made items. I am a collector of all things old and interesting as well as a rescuer of things that are no longer loved!

As most of my treasures have been loved for many years some of them may come with their own vintage imperfections. I endeavor to examine every vintage item very carefully and, where there are any imperfections, I do my best to describe EVERY imperfection as carefully as possible. Where I have repurposed or re-enlivened an item this is a unique item and no two will ever be the same- so there you will have a truly individual thing!! I welcome questions for further information about any item.

All items are stored in a smoke-free environment.

I try to minimise PrattspPatch's impact on the environment as much as possible. My hand-made/ reused products are made to include using re-purposed books, paper and vintage or rescued fabric.

For shipping, I obtain and re-use boxes, bubble wrap and other packaging materials available rather than it ending up in a landfill somewhere- I urge you to do likewise! I am still learning and trying to find new ways to make PrattsPatch as environmentally friendly as possible. Because I re-use boxes for shipping, the outer box of your shipment may not be very pretty but will provide obvious evidence of its reuse and places it may have traveled !

If you are sending an item as a gift and would like me to provide a more attractive outer box or would like me to gift wrap your purchase, please contact me and I will let you know the additional cost of this.

I use Paypal. I also accept credit card payments.

If I haven't received payment within 72 hours I will assume that the order has been cancelled and will re-list the item. If there are special circumstances, please get in touch with me to let us know.
Please note that I am really happy to combine items for postage and will provide postage prices for this. All I need is a convo message stating which items you are interested in purchasing and your location, I will then provide a relevant postage quote.

I always refund excess postage costs if overcharged, although I do try to be as accurate as possible in the first place!

I ship, within 5 working days of order whenever possible. Should you require a faster delivery time , please contact me for arrangements.

I am happy to ship anywhere in the world. If an international shipping rate is not noted in the item's description, please contact me for a shipping quote. Custom fees and any local taxes will be the responsibility of the buyer.

I generally now use 2nd class within the UK due to changes in postal charges . If you require first class or 'signed for' please convo me for a price. For everywhere else I use airmail service. If you would like the option of signed for overseas please convo me for a price. Insurance is optional (but is advisable if the item has a high value). Please leave a note to seller when buying your item if you would like insurance on your package. I will then contact you to let you know the extra cost involved so that you can arrange the additional payment. I also use UPS or Transglobal to deliver heavier/bulky items or multiple items to international buyers. If this applies to you please convo me with the item details and your location so I can provide you with a delivery quote.

I re-use packaging materials and boxes wherever possible to keep shipping costs down and minimise the impact on the environment. If, however, you would like your item delivered in a brand new box, please contact me and I will let you know the additional costs involved.
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns must be made within 7 days of receipt. The item must be returned unused and return shipping costs are paid by the buyer. Once I have received the returned item in its original condition, I will issue a refund or exchange it for another item of equal value. All refunds will be returned in the same method as payment was given.

If an insured item is damaged in shipping, please contact me to make arrangements for refund or exchange.
Additional policies and FAQs
Positive feedback is very important to me. If you are considering leaving less than positive feedback, please contact PrattsPatch with your concerns about your purchased item and / or transaction, so I can resolve the issue for you as quickly as possible.
Thank you!
