4 out of 5 starsAs soon as I saw the coin I questioned if it was the same pictured for sale. The one I received the scratches on the obverse are not as deep. Like someone tried to rub them out. On the reverse the wing feathers on the right wing are almost flat. The rock the eagle is standing on is almost flat. "T, Y" in Liberty almost flat. Couldn't find a grading scale but a 1825 on eBay was advertised as a Very Fine and had better feathers than my "AU".

For the love of Jewelry, we just could not melt all this gorgeous stuff!
In the late 1980's our dad opened our shop in historic downtown Overland Park Kansas to buy silver and gold as metals were at an all time high. My brother and I would work for the store when we were not at school. One day my brother and I told our dad "we just can't melt down all this gorgeous jewelry" so we made jewelry cases out of pain glass and " Voila" Precious Metals & Gems was born. We travel the country and world looking for estate jewelry to refurbish, repurpose and send to a loving new home. We look forward and are excited to work with new customers with the help of Etsy's online platform.
