Presents Felt is run by me, Jenny Fozard and is based in the U.K. I hand make and sell felt and fabric gift and decor items worldwide on Etsy, a GDPR compliant company.

The personal information I collect:

When placing an order for a Presents Felt item via Etsy, you will be asked by Etsy for details such as your name, email and address as well as your order and payment details. You can find out how Etsy use these details by referring to their own privacy policy. Etsy provide me with the details you permit them to, in order that I may use them to fulfil your order and ship it to you correctly. I am obliged to retain order details in order to fulfil tax requirements by law. You may also choose to provide me with additional details, for example, for a custom order, if you contact me directly via the Etsy messaging service. If you choose to pay by PayPal (also compliant), I may use this on occasion, for example, to offer any refunds due. Please refer to PayPal to see their Privacy Policy.

Why I need your information and how I use it:

I use your data to provide my services, such as completing and shipping your order, to answer your queries or to provide customer support. I will not use them to contact you for marketing purposes. I am also obliged to retain order information as required by tax law. Sometimes I will use a photograph of a finished order or work in progress on my social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter @presentsfelt ) to help to promote my business. However, your personal details will never be shared in this way. I occasionally share customer reviews on social media but I obscure Etsy user names from view. User names are however, public on Etsy itself. I use your information as necessary to comply with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure:

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for limited reasons and in limited circumstances. For example, your address will appear on your parcels in order that postal delivery companies may deliver them safely to you. To comply with customs regulations, an outer order invoice may appear in a sealed envelope on your parcel. I may also retain or share information to comply with laws, for example, tax or government requests or to respond to a legal process or investigation into fraudulent or illegal activity.

Data Retention:

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. UK tax law currently requires that tax records are kept for at least 5 years. I will generally therefore, retain data for just beyond this time period.

Your Rights:

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases:

- Access: You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me via an Etsy convo or at presentsfelt@gmail.com

- Change, restrict or delete: You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of or delete your personal information. Aside from in exceptional circumstances, where I am required to retain data for legal reasons, I will generally make the changes requested.

- If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your data, you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
