I really like this piece. I will use the printing block to make new business cards.

Let a new year of type sorting begin! What treasures are buried here I wonder.

About

A Passion For Old Treasures

When I was five I inherited my first antique when I got a big double bed from my great-grandparents' estate. It was truly beautiful to me even though the finish was marred and little pieces of wood applique kept falling off.

Together my husband and I have been buying and selling antiques for over 30 years now. We are particularly fond of rescuing letterpress related things. Straight out of college I went to work for a typographic service. My husband grew up in his father's printing business. Our little press, a Kelsey Excelsior, is the first press my Father-in-law purchased as a young man during the Depression.

But we love lots of other lovely things too. So you never know what we might be offering.

When I am not playing with type, you might find me training with a kettlebell. Letterpress is very, very heavy stuff.
