I've always wanted to have my own shop. Even as a child I 'played shop' with a little cash register, miniature groceries and my family as customers.

But what kind of shop? I dreamt of owning a bakery, but being a graphic designer it made more sense to start something in that field. After taking printmaking classes in my spare time and getting completely hooked on printmaking, the idea of opening a print shop began to grow. A printmaker friend pointed me to Etsy and it didn't take long before I had my first listings up. I still remember how excited I was about my first sale. And to be honest, I still get just as excited now when one of my prints sells and I get to wrap it up and send it off to a happy customer.

I'm originally from The Netherlands, but lived and worked in Ottawa, Canada for 7 years. Living in another country gave me great inspiration and taught me how to connect with people through my printmaking work. And through Etsy I get to share my work with people all over the world.

In 2013 I returned to The Netherlands and started my own design and printmaking studio in Tilburg. Being my own boss is hard work, but gives me great fulfillment. The freedom to do things my own way, to make unique prints by hand, is priceless.
