About

Creativity that is obvious!

Crochet is a passion that is a very big part of our lives. My daughter, Priscilla and I enjoy creating new and fun items to share with you. I have always been intrigued with yarn and fibers and constantly looking at it as 'what can I make from this string?' 'Prissy' started crocheting as a child and showed an immediate talent. She loves it as much as I do. She had a major role in convincing me to open our shop so we became partners in our endeavor. Hence our name "Prissy's Place'. Not a day passes without yarn and hook in our hands at some point.

In addition to our crochet, we really enjoy gourds of any shape, size or variety. We have been growing gourds for about 10 years and have discovered the best part of growing them is finding the perfect one for a project. They result in birdhouses, bowls or vases.

New to our shop are handmade wood items created by Jim and Daniel. Jim has been involved in all aspects of woodworking his entire life....from the chainsaw, to the sawmill, to the kiln and then to the wood shop to result in anything from the smallest projects to amazing and beautiful furniture. With this extensive background he is able to pass a great deal of his experience on to my youngest son, Daniel who is very creative. Will (Prissy's husband) spends most of the month away from home with his job but is more than willing to help and learn when he is home.

Watch for new creations as they emerge.

*all of our items are created in a clean smoke free/pet free environment*

Additional policies and FAQs
We hope our pictures and descriptions include enough detail for you to fully appreciate our efforts but feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

**PLEASE NOTE: Our items are created in a clean, smoke free and pet free home. Many of crocheted offerings are made with acrylic yarn because of the durability and long life it provides. If you are allergic or have sensitivity to smells it may be necessary to 'air' your products upon receipt to remove the 'plastic like' scent. This is stronger in items created with very new yarn. Most will not notice it but extremely sensitive people may and it is a simple process to remove.
