Such a gorgeous product! They arrived safe and sound each in their own box with a lovely note from the talented maker. Thanks Norrie.

About

I absolutely want to bring foil with uniqueness to your world.

In 2010 I had left my graphic design job of 18 years working at TAFE North. I really wanted to go back to creating and designing my own things. I started researching and found this beautiful card that was embossed and foiled with flowers. It was embossed so deep that I wanted to create something like it.

So I started researching and wanted this Heidelberg machine that could foil my own designs and die cut as well as embossing. I bought it not really realising just how big it was. I picked it because I wanted the machine to have a large die cut area.

But the problem began when I did not have a clue how to operate it. I tried to find the old printers who were in their 70's and 80's but these old men felt threatened and refused to mentor me. I spend months on the internet, Briar Press, trying to understand the manual which was written for a Heidelberg Printing Press and not for a Heidelberg Foiler.

A few broken plates ,very sore muscles and I can totally foil print and die cut using my own systems. It may not be the process of the old way but it works. If you are thinking of doing something different then do it.
