About

The “Wonderful World of Electronics” is an ongoing educational project to introduce kids and teenagers to the art of electronics.

I use a novel friendly format to explain electronics; a DIY fun electronics kits complemented with a short comic in which Professor Scatterbrain (my ink-on-paper alter ego), explains step-by-step how to assemble the circuit and introduce basic concepts of electronics such as Electrical Current, Water Analogy, AC vs. DC, etc.

I have been teaching electronics and Physical Computing for more than ten years at the MFA Computer Art, BFA and Continuing Education departments at SVA NYC (http://mfaca.sva.edu/people/faculty/federico-muelas-romeros/), as well as several workshops for kids in the US and abroad, and on all these years I have found out that the hardest part when commencing to work in this medium is to overcome the fear to work with electronics.

I also think that electronics, presented on the right way, is the perfect introduction to STEAM fields for young boys and girls.
