The little ferret that got this entire adventure started. He was a pet that we just couldn't stand to let go.

We are unusual suspects.

We are somewhat of an enigma and may not be who you'd typically think about when you envision people who enjoy preserving dead animals. We are a married couple, one of which is vegan and the other a vegetarian. One with surgical skills while the other is more a jack of all trades. If you saw us out in the world somewhere, you probably would not imagine us working with dead animals in our spare time but we do enjoy capturing the beauty of animals, even after death.

We strive to treat each animal with respect and the attention and dignity they all deserve. Our goal is to preserve each specimen in a way that represents their life, in a way that someone will want to display them as the beautiful creatures they are.

Do your specimens come with the jars that are in the pictures?

We take great care in choosing the perfect container to display our specimens. We usually go with clear glass apothecary containers, although sometimes something unusual grabs or eyes! Our specimens will ship with the container that they are pictured in, unless otherwise noted in the item listing.
