About

Emerging on a journy.

I can not really say how or when creativity first hit me. I have always been a creative, do-it-yourself, type of person. I have taken a wide variety of art classes, from developing photography, to air brushing, and computer graphics.

When I was 12 I was asked to do a report on what I wanted to be when I grew up, and what I found I would enjoy most turns out to be really hard. Self employment. The ability to make it or brake it on my own. Now that I have nice, little family, I'm finding the journey to be very difficult. But, making one sale can give me something simple like gas money, or the ability to buy a nice coffee once in a while. That makes this a very rewarding experience for me.

I can now call myself a jeweler, a crafter and creator of fantasy art. I had to stop for a year to have a baby, and get married. But, now I have more motivation and positive support in my life.

I am emerging this year(2012) as a journeyman. I still love working in the shop, but this is the time to take the show on the road (and on-line). I am always going to offer the simple things I learned to craft, but I am slowly branching out to other mediums and hope to find the 'me' in what I make.

I have the joy of working with a very talented and very intelligent group of people. We are, individually, very talented people. But together, we run a very tight shop. Roger Zimpel is the shop's elder smith, mentor and actual owner of the studio. Nikki Mosley is our torch fairy and is great at keeping the bench work moving on wholesale orders. Roanne Pearson is another wonderful fairy that keeps all the little things running smoothly, and is getting very handy with the torch. With out her continuous effort, so many things would fall into disorder. Then we have our tech fairy, Judy, who brings the whole world of technology into our sadly outdated, studio.

I have worked my whole life trying to find what I was good at. It was only natural that I found it in art. In 2007 I started an apprenticeship with the Moria Silver Studio and suddenly I found that I could bring my world of imagination to life.

  • Roxanne Pearson

    Maker

Roxanne has been with the shop for over a year now, and is a great help at all ends of casting, buffing, and over all shine of finished products. She is most valued for her efforts at keeping the shop tidy and stocked and takes great care of stock.

  • Roger Zimpel

    Owner, Maker, Designer, Curator

The master behind the madness. He is the shops elder, and bestows his knowledge generously. We all own him our gratitude for allowing us to learn in his shop.

  • Nikki Mosley

    Maker, Designer, Curator

Mr. Nikki. Our certified artist. She does really cool stuff, and has been a wonderful crew mate over the years.

Everything I make can be customizable. I try to keep it simple in the listing but I can do custom orders. If you need multiples of an item ( such as matching circlets for brides maids) please let me know well in advance so that you can get it on time. And I will work out discounts for orders of 6 or more of any one item. Just ask before you buy.

I can do wholesale, just ask me about it.
