excellent quality silver point journal, very smooth and heavy weight paper. the cover is super sturdy and thick. every page, back and front is prepared for metal point drawing and the finish is nice and smooth. The size of the book is perfect for travel I'm having a lot of fun with it.

This is now my 4th silverpoint pen from this wonderful shop. Each one has been unique and beautiful. But I think this one is now my new favorite. I love the feel of the wood in my hand as the silver glides over the paper. Keep up the great work Violet!

I love these pens. This time I got the Sapele silverpoint pen. It's a wonderful warm wood and a pleasure to use.

I've taken this sketchbook out several times now for plein air sketching. The design is perfect; it lies flat and it's hard bound so the paper is supported while I sketch. The ground takes the silver point well and the silverpoint easily glides over the paper. It's a joy to use along with my beautiful new wood silverpoint holder I bought from the same shop. I like it so much I bought the smaller version as well for travelling.
