Announcement
Carvings take 6-10 weeks to cut, carve, paint, and finish. Prints and patches take 2-4 weeks to print and dry. Please message at any time to get an update on your order. Etsy will only allow me to put 4-8 weeks on listings, but my pieces do sometimes take longer than that time frame, hence my notes here! I am a one person studio with a full time job in addition to the studio, so I do not have Amazon turnaround times! Thanks so much for supporting my art. :)
I will resume live vending events in 2021. :)

5 out of 5 starsThe USPS took this baby on a nationwide tour but it was packed so well that it still arrived in perfect shape. The recipient was ECSTATIC with it. Genuinely the gift that's gone over the best that I've ever given. She really loved it, thank you so much!

About PumpkinheadPrintshop
An overgrown trick-or-treater carrying on a love affair with woodcut...
The items I create and offer up to others via this digital marketplace represent small bits of my soul; they are examples of my own fears, desires, and obsessions. Woodcut is an ancient and time-consuming technique that I am proud to carry on in modern times. By sharing my wood carvings and block prints here, I am able to spread knowledge and appreciation for this ancient artform. The planchettes are an effort to address contemporary communication practices through the lens of the supernatural, and a way for me to connect more deeply with Baltimore, where I live, and where the original Oujia board was patented. Other imagery is derived from past experiences-
working in a comic book shop as a teen, going to college in the infamous Witch City, Salem, MA, growing up in a family of antique dealers who kept me surrounded by vintage objects like Halloween decorations and McDonald's toys, and so on.
Artist Statement:
Jessi Hardesty is an anxious mark maker who fixates on manifestations of longing, identity, and communication. Much of her imagery is based in folklore, spiritualism, the nude form, and science fiction- via the ritual labor of woodcut, she seeks to channel and express her need to liaise with the forgotten, the secret, and the ephemeral.

Frequently asked questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
All of my orders ship in recycled packaging materials, so no box or tube will look the same. I do my best to make the orders safe and unique, but do not expect a store bought fancy box!
How do you ship items?
Primarily through USPS using recycled packing materials. No two packages will look the same, as I try to be as eco-friendly as possible. Expect a wait of 1-3 months on custom carvings and 2-4 weeks on printed items. I am one person who does this on top of a full time job, so I cannot have an Amazon turnaround time! :)
Do items ship with tracking numbers?
Usually, but not always. I primarily use USPS Priority Mail, but I may not update the order with tracking info beyond the date it was shipped if I am swamped OR if I was able to utilize a more affordable mail option. If you have an order that I have marked as shipped but doesn't include a tracking number and you'd really prefer one, please message me and I will happily pull my receipt with the number for you OR inform you that it was sent via Media Mail or similar.
Care instructions
Patches are shipped rolled, but may arrive with some creasing from the handling and postal process. They can be be gently ironed to remove any creases they may acquire in their travels! Would recommend facing the inked side downwards and using an iron on gentle setting. Woodcut printed shirts will survive washing well, but turning them inside out and washing on a gentle cycle is best!
