About

Beginnings of PunkletteOriginals

Hello! I'm Barb and I've been mailling for over 5 years now! Originally I started out making simple bead work and wire wrapping but then Michael's had a clearance sale on some jump rings and that was it for me. I finally found my medium.

Since then I have been working hard to improve my skills and artistic vision be it by learning new weaves or by mixing in other media and materials as well as helping build and improve the chainmaille community online. While I still consider myself to be new to the craft, I have received plenty of advice insights from more experienced maillers and continue to share my experience with newer maillers in the same way. I also have created a new weave that is recognized by M.A.I.L. (Maille Artisans International League) the largest online database of everything chainmaille.

Currently I sell my wares on Etsy and any craft sales I can attend here in the Winnipeg area. I'm working towards full time mailling because I enjoy work that is challenging and requires creativity and there is nothing better than the challenge of a new project! So if you need a custom item be it a garment, accessory, or anything else you can think of just let me know! I work in a variety of metals and try to ensure that everything I make is sturdy, comfortable and one of a kind!

I discovered the art of chainmaille a few years ago and have been hooked ever since. I have always liked to create new designs and patterns and no day is complete unless there is a creative element involved. I hope you enjoy my designs as well!

Shipping
For the time being I ship primarily to Canada. If you would like an item and are from another country just message me and I will work something out for you.

I use the flat rate boxes to ship nation wide. These boxes include tracking, insurance and can hold up to 5kg so I can stuff them as full as possible. Should you want other shipping options just contact me.

If you purchase an item or a group of items and shipping ends up being cheaper than expected I will refund you the difference immediately.
Additional policies and FAQs
The materials I most commonly use are bright/anodized aluminum and stainless steel. I also have started making pieces with brass, bronze and copper. For those that have metal allergies I have worked with titanium and niobium and those options are available to you as well.
