5 out of 5 starsThe seller was so sweet. The packaging was so loved and taken care for. I got a bonus art piece as well, it seriously brought joy to my life. I'm so excited to add both to my gallery wall and would highly recommend this artist/seller!

I love creating art.
I have been making art for a long time.
After high school I went to the College of Fine Arts (COFA, Sydney Australia), where I studied Painting, Drawing, Jewellery and Photography. Painting was, and is my first love.
At the end of my studies, I completed a Bachelor of Education in Art, I became an Art Teacher. I worked for 14 years as an Art teacher in Sydney, Australia.
After college, I studied other mediums, eg. silk painting, stained glass, silver jewellery and etching.
Travelling around the world, has offered me so many chances to see and be inspired to make art.
I've exhibited in group exhibitions in Sydney, Canberra, Paris, Versailles, Metz (France) and Maurepas (France).
I've have been blessed, to have lived in France from December 2003 to July 2017. Having easy access to museums and galleries across Europe. Enticing me to be creative and inspired by pre-historic artifacts.
INSPIRATION AND IDEAS
BIRDS
I've been painting and drawings bids for over 35 years... I adore them. Living in Australia you get use to the noise and visits of birds. I love the colour and character of them. They were a big part of my art making process in high school and early years of art school. Now that I'm back in Australia, I can see a large variety of birds including sulfer crested cockatoos, magpies, currawongs, galahs and rosellas.
FEMALE FIGURES, GODDESSES & PREHISTORIC ART
I love the female form, from life drawing it continues to inspire me. I love the curves and sometimes the ambiguous shapes and lines. Additionally with my interest in prehistoric art, the Venus or goddess figures have given me such an expansive repertoire to work with.
Stonehenge, Carnac, Lascaux and Crete, are all places magic with the remains of the past.
The Louvre museum in Paris, is a wonderful museum full of treasure and constant amazement. When I visit, I can still find an artwork that's new and inspirational.
ABSTRACT
My recent works have been inspired by the landscape and nature, but also the revision of the Australian landscape. It's also a play of paint, ink and water soluble crayons. The marks, patterns and shapes, also develop into a dance on the surface of the paper, wood and canvas.
HORSES
I was never a horse girl when I was a kid, but I have a fascination with horse sculpture, drawings and paintings. From Prehistoric times to ancient Greece and Rome, show me a horse statue, sculpture or engraving on a cave wall, and I'm happy.
PARIS
I first visited Paris in 1992, it was my first overseas trip. There was so much to see and so much to experience. I've been drawing Paris for a long time. I've tried to capture parts of it in my trusty sketch book, it's only small 14 x 14cm (to fit into my handbag). Since 2003 I've completed 35 sketch books and take them on all of my adventures.
MATERIALS
I work with a combination of materials, including acrylic, watercolour, ink, aquarelle crayons (neo-color II are my favorites), collage, imitation gold and silver leaf, shellac and varnish. I use to work big, but now prefer to work with small intricate shapes and sizes.
JEWELLERY
I've been making jewellery for many years. I've tried different materials from sliver, fabric and resin. Resin is a fun material to use and is easy to produce unique pieces. It suits my style and I love designing and making different pieces. Organic and natural shapes dominate my work, and it's mirrored in the jewellery I've created.
