I have always been creative. Since I was a child I always 'made' things and was often the butt of my older brothers jokes as they guessed what creative attempt would be presented to them on their birthday. ( I think the peg doll was popular!)
This love of making has stuck with me ever since and although a trained professional graphic designer I have always been fascinated by pottery, clay and the combination of earth and fire.
Purple Glaze Pottery began after I was asked to decorate a plate as a wedding gift. I found this new medium exciting and made a change from working digitally. This commission led to others so decided to design a range of personalised tableware for a range of occasions to sell at a local craft fair.
The response was phenomenal which gave me the confidence to set up a website and present my product to larger retailers to sell. I now have a loyal customer base in the UK and USA and various wholesale sellers around the UK
My vision for the future is grow as a business and to continue to offer this personalised service to my customers and to continue to make beautiful ceramics which will be treasured for years to come.
