Meet the Maker behind The Purple Hat
Hi! I'm Anni, the heart and hands behind The Purple Hat.
I started this shop because I love turning simple sketches into beautiful, practical, embroidery that makes everyday items special. I also specialise in "in the hoop" projects where the item is designed and constructed in your embroidery hoop.
Every design here starts as my own hand-drawn or AI-generated sketch or pattern, then I carefully digitize it using Hatch 3 software and test it on my personal embroidery machine, a Husqvarna Topaz.
I believe embroidery should be joyful and stress-free, so I make sure my files stitch out cleanly, with clear instructions and plenty of care behind the scenes.
When I'm not digitising, you'll find me painting or trying out new recipes in the kitchen.

What we make
We produce digital designs that are used with an embroidery machine. They are NOT finished items that will be mailed to you. You will also not receive a CD or USB stick with the designs - download information will be sent to you after purchase and it then becomes your responsibility to file the designs in a safe place and make a backup copy in the event of computer failure.
You must have access to an embroidery machine and also know how to unzip the files and transfer the designs to your machine. A basic understanding of your machine, its hoop sizes and capabilities is preferable.
There are many, many makes and models of embroidery machines as well as a variety of software, so I may not be able to help you with your specific set up. Its always a good idea to ask questions first before placing your order.
Please check your hoop sizes before ordering as refunds will not be given if the design does not fit your embroidery hoop. Furthermore, please use the design files as sent as I cannot guarantee the quality of the finished product if you alter, resize, or reformat the design in any way.
In some instance a sewing machine may also be required to finish the item.
