    Hello and thank you for visiting my shop!

    I provide custom letterpress stationery to my customers. The pieces listed in my shop are designed to show you the type of work I have produced in the past. If you love something you see in my shop and you want an identical piece, great! If you see a style you like but you want to customize it, perfect! I love working with you—the customer—to create your ideal piece.

    Due to the nature of letterpress and the hand-fed operation of my presses, please keep in mind that variations may occur from piece to piece. Personally, I find the beauty of letterpress to lie in the fact that each invitation, announcement, or card is a hand-made piece of art.

    Due to the custom nature of these pieces, refunds are not available. In approving the final proof, the customer verifies that all wording, spelling, and information is correct, and that s/he agrees to the layout & design aesthetic.

    In the event that a proof is approved by the customer with an error (information, spelling, etc.), supply costs and applicable shipping costs for a replacement plate and materials are the responsibility of the customer. In the event that the customer decides not to proceed with a corrected plate--essentially canceling the order--the balance will be refunded less the design deposit and any material costs.

    If a mistake is made on my end, I am happy to correct the error and cover all associated costs.

    **Please note: I cannot process/start work on a project until payment is received in full (for totals less than $200) or until a design deposit is received. Thank you!**

    All payments can be made via Etsy through PayPal or check, made payable to Purple Ink Press. A design deposit must be received before any draft work can begin. Due to the amount of individual time I spend with current customers, I can no longer provide drafts before payment is made. Design deposits are non-refundable; if we start the process and your Great-Aunt surprises you by buying your invitations from another vendor, the design deposit covers my design time.

    Upon approval of the final proof, the balance is due. Once the balance is received, printing will begin!

    Taxes will be charged accordingly.
    In an attempt to keep the US Postal Service afloat, I prefer to use USPS flat rate shipping. However, if you prefer UPS, Federal Express, or a tracking number on the product, just let me know and the final shipping price will be adjusted accordingly.
    Additional policies and FAQs
    Items in stock will ship within 2 business days.

    Occasionally I will need to reprint stock items (stationery cards or sets). Print time is 7-10 business days.

    All design drafts are sent as PDF files. An email address is necessary for the design process.

    Custom Design: Once a design deposit is made, please allow 2-3 business days to receive the first round of drafts; information and feedback are often needed from your end, so our ability to communicate will affect the speed of the design process.

    Baby Announcements, Shower Invitations, Save the Dates: Depending on the complexity of the finished product, these items will usually take 14 business days from approval of the final proof to complete (order supplies, print, and assemble, if necessary).

    Wedding Invitations: Please allow 4-6 weeks from approval of the final proof to complete a wedding suite (order supplies, print, and assemble, if necessary). There are often more pieces involved in a wedding suite and a longer design process, so please allow sufficient time. It is recommended to start the invitation process 3-4 months before your mailing date.
