About

It's time to quit our day job!

We started a small shop on the idea that we could make a few designs between the two of us and find items that are unique to a variety of people. We started our small business with a simple idea of making National Park posters that were similar in design to the old WPA posters from the 1930's. We wanted a way to use my photographs in a different light and maybe create a new modern style. We also wanted to create a shop that was diverse and had an assortment of things, from vintage items to modern designs, that can attract many different kind of customers.

Over our past 4 years on Etsy its been a rollercoaster of a ride. In August of 2017, we decided to take the plunge and put all of our cards on the table, quitting our day jobs to make Purple Moose Basics even better. We hope to continue to grow and diversify as a small family company and create closer bonds with our customers through more products and great quality.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
Items are returnable or exchangeable on a case by case basis (Except Shirts & Apparel, which are printed on demand). If you find your item not to be what you expected or damaged please contact us. We will do our best when problems or issues arise!

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

International orders cannot be returned or canceled once shipped.
Payment
Payment is required immediately after purchase. Items will not be shipped until payment is confirmed.
Shipping
Items are packaged specifically for item protection and integrity throughout the shipping process.

If for some reason the shipping agency damages or loses the product please first try to contact the shipping company then if the issue is not resolved please contact us and we will work with you to resolve the problem.

We do not refund for lost mail, wrong shipping address, or if you changed your mind on the order. If your order is returned to us due to the incorrect shipping address, the buyer is responsible for paying postage back to reship your order.

You have the option to select tracking during checkout. If you do not purchase tracking, your order will be sent by regular mail via USPS First Class Mail without tracking.

If you want to ensure that your order arrives, please purchase tracking with your order. If you do not purchase tracking, we cannot be held responsible for any lost orders.

*Remember, without tracking we cannot assist when items are lost or damaged.

*Remember - Shipping times are after processing, which could take up to 4 business days, but usually not that long.

**INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE READ**

International orders typically take 1-2 weeks for delivery but can take up to 4-6 weeks (occasionally they become delayed by customs), so please order accordingly.

The price of our products does not include any duties or VAT. Our shop only charges you goods cost and shipping cost. If you are charged with a VAT, you need to pay it to your customs.

In most countries, you have to pay taxes or duties on imported goods. Sometimes goods under a certain value, or in certain categories, do not incur taxes.

The rules are different in every country. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to know the rules, regulations, customs, or rulings of every single country.

If you have to pay import taxes and/or additional duties and sales taxes, then you would have to pay that to the courier upon receipt of the package(s). Unfortunately, we can't calculate this for you and there is no way to pre-pay it and it is not within the law for us to refund or pay this fee.

Once an order has been shipped and accepted by USPS, it is no longer under our control. We are not responsible for mail lost by USPS or any international shipping agency. International orders cannot be returned or canceled once shipped.

Do You Print Custom Sizes?

Yes, we can print nearly any custom size you would like. Our standard policy is to charge for the next size up. Please contact us if you would like a custom size and we can assist you in ordering your desired size.

Custom and personalized orders

We do a variety of custom or personalized orders, including wedding invitations, flat & folding cards, magnets and more. Just contact us for more information and let us know what you are looking for.

Do you accept returns?

Customers are welcome to return items. Shipping fees will not be refunded and restocking fees apply.

All returned or exchanged items will incur a 25% restocking fee.

(T-Shirts, Apparel & International Orders are non-returnable)

Do these posters and prints have white borders?

Yes & No.

For the 4x6 to 16x24 sizes the borders are more of a narrow 1/8" to 3/8" margin created in the printing process. When framed & matted most borders will not show. Margins are as follows:

4X6 - ~ 1/8"
5X7 - ~ 1/8"
8X10 - ~ 3/16"
11X14 - ~ 1/4"
13X19 - ~ 5/16"
16X20 - ~ 3/8"
16X24 - ~ 3/8"
18x24 - ~ 3/8"

All Larger Sizes Are ~ 1/2"
