A Life of Crafts
Basteln ist ein Teil meines Lebens, solange ich mich erinnern kann. Meine Mutter näht und macht Quilts. Meine Tante strickt und näht und verkauft handgefertigte Puppenkleidung. Ich lernte zu stricken, als ich sehr jung war, und die Gewohnheit blieb hängen.
Als ich aufwuchs, strickte ich Mützen und Schals und Fäustlinge für alle meine Freunde und Familie. Im Sommercamp strickte ich Mützen für alle meine Mitbootskameraden, bevor der Sommer vorbei war. Schließlich hatte so ziemlich jeder, den ich kannte, genug von meinen Strickwaren, aber da ich nie aufhörte zu basteln, begannen sich die Produkte zu stapeln.
Da habe ich meinen Etsy-Shop gestartet. Es hilft mir, weiterhin Materialien zu kaufen, um meine unersättlichen Süchte zu stillen, und es findet ein Zuhause für meine verwaisten Strickwaren.
Crafts have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. My mother sews and makes quilts. My aunt knits and sews and sells handmade doll clothes. I learned to knit when I was very young, and the habit stuck.
Growing up, I knit hats and scarves and mittens for all of my friends and family. At summer camp, I would knit hats for all of my cabinmates before the summer was over. Eventually, pretty much everyone I knew had their fill of my knitted goods, but since I never stopped crafting, the products began to pile up.
That's when I started my Etsy shop. It helps me to continue to buy materials to feed my insatiable addictions, and it finds homes for my orphaned knitted goods.
