My story begins when I became a mother in 2011. I knew I wanted to stay home with my daughter but wasn't sure how to make it a reality. I had only heard of Etsy before, so I checked it out and decided to take a chance.

I began creating and listing items. I tried my hand at artwork, jewelry, magnets and supplies. Of course, not every thing I made sold, in fact very little sold. But, I didn't give up.

One day, I decided to make some Montessori materials. I've always enjoyed making them in the classroom and my co-teachers always told me that I had a gift for making great materials. I scavenged thrift stores, brought life to unwanted items and I began selling works immediately. It was then that Quality Montessori was born along with my beautiful daughter.

As time went by my products evolved. I now order custom wood parts from a company who uses sustainably-harvested Maple & Birch wood from North America. The reading blocks are pad printed with water based ink. I then piece them together and glue them with the strongest, waterproof, nontoxic glue available. They are then wrapped, stamped and ready to ship.
