My vintage retirement
After a long career as a civil servant at a major university, I found that the vintage bug was calling me! I began by selling locally out of my home with my sisters and then found my way into an occasional shop. I had to be pushed a bit to sell on-line, but etsy became a great outlet for me. I've sold vintage items to every state in the U.S. and to 16 other countries!
I don't have a specialty because I kind of love anything old. I have a preference for anything homey -- from kitchen tools to decorative pieces. And I do have a thing for old toys -- especially for dollhouse furnishings. I tend to buy what I like and, occasionally, what I want to do research on. (I have bought a few tools not knowing what they were but had fun quizzing family members on their use.)
I have a penchant for collecting little odds and ends and have just started making quirky little dioramas. A few may appear in my shop in the future.
I find most of my items pretty close to home (Minneapolis) but do like to pick when I'm traveling as well. Last year, I was able to get to a few flea markets -- in Minnesota and Wisconsin and France! I can hardly wait to see where my travels take me and what treasures I'll find along the way.
I grew up in Ohio and Pennsylvania but have lived in Minnesota a very long time. I'm retired from a long career at the University of Minnesota. Now I love to spend my time picking and selling vintage of all kinds.

How often do you ship?
I ship nearly every business day. If I'm away from the shop for a day or two, I'll put a note at the top of my page (in shop announcements).
Do you take returns?
I don't take returns as a general rule. If I haven't described an item accurately, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do everything I can do to make things right.
What about clothing? Will you take it back if it doesn't fit?
I do my best to include lots of measurements on any clothing I sell. I encourage you to compare the measurements in the item description with a similar item that you know fits. Feel free to contact me if you need additional measurements or other information. In some special cases and if we make previous arrangements, I will take returns.
Do you ship internationally?
I am happy to ship internationally. Please contact me for the cost of shipping. (Note that the customer is responsible for all customs and import taxes.)
Do you sell locally?
I do have occasional local sales. Watch my facebook page for updates. If you're local and would like to pick up an item in Minneapolis to save shipping costs, I'm more than happy to arrange something.
What happens if my item is damaged during shipping?
I do insure most of the items I sell. If your order was damaged en route, please notify me right away and send photos of both the packaging and the damage on the item. In most cases, I will reimburse you right away while I process the insurance clam with the post office.
