Really neat necklace, totally unique in every way. The colors, the texture, the shape. Can't wait to wear it.

I cannot begin to express how impressed I was when I saw the finished piece. It was everything and more than I expected. I bought this piece as gift for a friend, and now I can't wait to have QueenBeeloved start on my own! I was also very impressed with the professionalism this process was done! Soooo soooo happy with it all!!

Thank you for visiting my store! Here you will find one of natures most historically eco friendly, green vessels –the gourd. Ancient civilizations from all over the world have been growing gourds for domestic as well as spiritual uses since the beginning of time. I love to be a part of the gourds long standing story by continuing this art form with my own twists and interpretations of the beauty of nature. Each piece is not only handmade by myself but is also an original, one of a kind design. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Accepted payment methods

  • Other Method
Payment
I accept paypal, checks and money orders. Please contact me if you are paying by check or money order and allow 10 days after I receive payment for clearance before item ships. Please complete your purchase within 3 days. Delayed payments will need to be canceled. *Layaway is available with a non refundable 25% down. Please contact me for further arrangements.
Shipping
In most cases, items will be shipped using USPS First Class mail within two days -once payment has cleared. Please notify me if you need your item by a certain date and I will work with that.

Insurance is required for the interests of both parties and is the responsibility of the buyer as well as any international fees.

Some gourds may require special shipping circumstances due to their materials (ie. beaded gourds using the Huichol bees wax technique must be over nighted due to temperature sensitivities) and will be listed in their descriptions. Additional charges may be applied in such cases.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me with any questions or concerns before purchase. Each gourd will be thoroughly represented and additional pictures provided (at the request of purchaser) before shipment so please pay close attention to size and material details in description and during all communications. Make sure to contact me with any questions prior to purchase and I will do whatever necessary to ensure your confidence in your purchase.

All gourds will be securely packaged. -These are my babies! I will be treating them as such. I cannot be held responsible for damage caused by shipment. As these gourds are one of a kind and irreplaceable I require delivery insurance at the expense of the buyer to insure a safe arrival.

If the item is not sufficiently represented by its description or does not meet your expectations contact me within 24 hours upon receipt to discuss refund arrangements and return shipping info.
Additional policies and FAQs
Items come from a smoke-free, cat and dog friendly home, however gourds have been kept from direct contact with animals at all times.

***Gourd care***

These gourds should be displayed where they will not fall as they may sustain cracks or breakage if placed near high trafficked areas.

All gourds have been sealed for interior use only -Do not put them outside unless otherwise stated in description. Keep them out of direct sunlight or fading may occur.

From time to time you may need to remove dust with a soft, damp cloth -do not use cleaners or polishers on finishes.

Gourds that have been beaded using the Indian Huichol technique where the beads have been embedded in bees wax (as stated in item description) should be kept far away from all heat sources and sunlight as the wax will melt and the beads will run! Room temperature is fine. I have had Huichol beaded gourds in my home for several years without ANY problems. -Just use common sense... the adhesive is WAX. These too can be wiped gently with a soft, damp cloth as needed without dislodging bead work.

The oldest known intact gourd artifact has been dated from between the year 1238 to the 7th century! (http://www.asianart.com/forum/takaki/dozen/Dozenns.htm)

If taken care of properly, gourds can be cherished for many lifetimes!

-------------From my heart to yours-----------------

Gourds are ancient and have been used throughout the history of man for clothing and jewelry, ritualistic and spiritual ceremonies, musical instruments as well as everyday household items such as bowls, ladles, and drinking vessels. As a mother, it saddens me to imagine mothers feeding their children mud cakes so their babies won’t hurt from empty stomachs… and children, who are the hope of our future, painfully starving within the first precious years before their mother’s eyes. Therefore these gourds will be vessels of hope. Within every gourd you purchase will be food and water poured out into the hands of the hungry through a 10% donation to World Vision. Thank you for being a part of such a world changing opportunity!
