Quiet Star Studio respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, share, and retain personal information when you purchase from Quiet Star Studio, contact me, or otherwise interact with my shop through Etsy.

Information I Receive

To process an order or respond to you, Etsy may provide me with information such as your name, email address, order details, messages, and, when relevant to an order, your mailing address. You may also voluntarily provide additional information when contacting me.

Payment transactions are processed through Etsy and its payment providers. I do not receive your full payment-card information.

Why I Use Your Information

I use personal information only when reasonably necessary to:

• provide and deliver the products or services you purchased;
• communicate with you and provide customer support;
• resolve order problems or disputes;
• maintain appropriate business and transaction records;
• comply with Etsy's Seller Policy, Terms of Use, and other Etsy requirements;
• comply with applicable tax, legal, regulatory, or court requirements; and
• protect my shop, customers, and others against fraud, misuse, or security concerns.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis for processing, I may rely on performance of our purchase contract, compliance with a legal obligation, my legitimate interests in operating and improving Quiet Star Studio and protecting the business, or your consent where consent is appropriate.

Marketing and Email

I do not use information supplied to me through an Etsy purchase to automatically add buyers to a marketing list or send unsolicited marketing messages.

If you separately and voluntarily subscribe to a Quiet Star Studio email list or freebie through an external signup form, your information may be used for email communications according to the consent you provide. You may unsubscribe from those communications at any time.

Sharing and Disclosure

I do not sell or rent your personal information.

I may share information only when reasonably necessary with:

• Etsy, as necessary to operate my shop, process transactions, provide customer service, and comply with Etsy's policies;
• service providers, but only when information is necessary for a service that you have requested or for legitimate shop operations; and
• government, regulatory, legal, or law-enforcement authorities when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, protect legal rights, prevent fraud, or address security or safety concerns.

Etsy and other third parties have their own privacy practices. This policy does not control the privacy practices of Etsy or other services that I do not own or control.Data Retention

I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including fulfilling orders, providing customer service, maintaining necessary business records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal or tax obligations.

Where I independently retain transaction or business records, certain records may be retained for several years where reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. Information that is no longer reasonably needed will be deleted or otherwise disposed of when appropriate.

International Processing

Quiet Star Studio is based in the United States. Information made available to me through Etsy may therefore be accessed or processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws from your country.

Etsy separately controls its own processing, storage, and international transfers of personal information under Etsy's Privacy Policy.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information under my control and limit its use to legitimate business purposes. However, no internet transmission or electronic-storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access to information I hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion in appropriate circumstances, request restriction of certain processing, or object to certain uses of your information.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent where applicable.

Some requests may be limited when information must be retained for legitimate legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other lawful reasons.

If the information you want to access, correct, or delete is controlled by Etsy rather than by Quiet Star Studio, you may need to contact Etsy or use Etsy's account/privacy tools.

Quiet Star Studio is responsible for the personal information that I independently process in connection with this Etsy shop.

If you have a privacy question, would like to exercise an applicable privacy right, or wish to make a privacy complaint, please contact me through Etsy Messages. I will review the request and respond as required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to the privacy or data-protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), where applicable.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy as Quiet Star Studio grows, applicable requirements change, or the services I use change. The current version published in my Etsy shop will reflect my then-current privacy practices.
