Wow what a set! I'm so happy with it. The colors are amazing. They don't distract from reading cards, but rather add something to it. I really like that embroidery. The quilt also looks fantastic. I still can't believe everything got here to Russia so quickly.

I love it! Really beautiful velvet and charms! Arrived quickly too - I collected it on Saturday from the post office.

OMG it's totally beautiful! The detail and the colors are totally amazing, and I completely did not expect the beautiful lining. This looks amazing with the Mary-El deck (which I trimmed and edged in black). Seller was a pleasure to deal with, and was very accommodating. Love it so much!

After drawing with thread comes filing in with lumier paints. This design is the watery waning crescent for deep introspection.

About

A little bit about my shop...

I believe we all born to do something special in our lives and part of that mission is to uplift others whenever we can. Over the years I’ve struggled with just what my mission is and could it really be through making art? I think the answer is yes.

I think of myself as a visual translator. I use images, symbols, colors, numerology, astrology, spiritual concepts and Divine Inspiration to tell a story- to invoke a feeling- that lends itself to serving a purpose for the item’s owner.
I want my art to be meaningful! That fulfills me when I know it has reached someone on that special level.

I work out of a small room of my home in Amity Township Pennsylvania that I customized with a wall of built in shelving for all my supplies. I love this old house! No one knows for sure when it was built but the earliest map we've seen with the property is dated 1875. It's a farm house with gingerbread woodwork on the porch, a Victorian iron fence in the front, humble double front doors and 2 half round windows on the second floor. It was a DIY project that took a decade to fix up.

My business name is b.z.threads because my name is difficult for people to pronounce. I changed my shop name to Free Spirit Sewing in 2015 which is evolving to perhaps Free Spirit Sowing. SkyGirl dolls and Eccentric Everyday both fall under the b.z.threads umbrella. I'm figuring all of this out as I go along. That's why I love Etsy so much. It's very forgiving of those of us who love to create but don't necessarily have business training.

I opened my etsy shop when I had a patchwork collage art bag published in Quilting Arts Magazine in Spring 2008. It was such a thrill! I realized that I really could do something with sewing and art that was bigger than a hobby. All of the start up money to keep buying supplies and pay fees came from coupon clipping. I kept track of my savings and put that money aside for the expenses. This is another reason I love Etsy. It doesn't cost a lot to get started.
I'm proud to say that each year this micro business has continued to grow and it's on it's way to being my full time that pays all the bills.

Custom orders are welcome! I ask 2 weeks of time but I usually get them done and shipped out much sooner.

Thank you for your interest in my shop!
Warmest Blessings,
Barbara
