Our frame can hold any quilt or fabric tapestry that is 1/4” thick or less. Please compress the edge of your piece to see if it is thinner than that. This type of frame offers no protection to your fabric/art and is not recommended for fragile, expensive, or irreplaceable art. This frame can hold thin materials like paper, but it can easily damage delicate materials so we recommend extra careful handling or consider using another type of frame. We are not responsible for any damage that may occur.

Each frame has two planks of wood for the top frame and two planks of wood on the bottom frame (bottom is optional). Screws go through the back of the frame and halfway into the front of the frame. You place the top and bottom edges of the quilt in between the planks and then tighten the screws with an allen wrench. The screws do NOT go through the material, the material just bumps up against the screws. Once tightened, the planks compress down onto the material and holds it securely.through the back and halfway through the front using special hardware (allen wrench is included). Material must be less than 1/4" thick (when compressed with your fingers).

This frame is very versatile and can hold more than just quilts. Many of our customer use these to hang rugs, woven blankets, flags, tapestries, canvas prints, puzzles, art board, and more. The maximum thickness of your material is 1/4" (when compressed with your fingers).
Please reach out to us for longer screws for thicker items. We do not recommend this frame for very thin or delicate materials.

We recommend ordering about 0-4 inches longer than the horizontal width of your quilt (the vertical length does not matter). It just depends on how much wood overhang (if any) you want. Many customers order a perfect fit (frame size is the same as width of the quilt).

Due to natural wood variations, finished stained wood color can vary. Stain can transfer to material due to heavy friction or compression.

Please keep out of reach of children and pets at all times. This product contains small parts that can be a choking hazard. The frame weighs between 2-12 lbs plus whatever material you are hanging. Please use extreme caution when hanging this frame on the wall, making sure that it is secure on the wall. We have included a drywall screw as a courtesy, but we cannot guarantee its performance due to varying weights and wall structure. Please determine if you need to use another type of nail, screw, or hook based on your quilt weight or wall type. This will be a heavy object hanging on the wall so we don’t recommend putting it over a sitting or sleeping area. We are not responsible for any injuries or damage this frame may cause.
