Years ago, I started following a few craft blogs, saw the gorgeous fabrics created by Anna Maria Horner, and just KNEW I had to learn to sew. Sure, I had learned the basics back in 8th grade Home Ec., but I didn't own a sewing machine or a square of fabric. I was a little intimidated, and so I did what any normal person would do. I started hoarding designer fabric and let my brand new sewing machine sit in its box for more than a year.

My first project was a patchwork pillow created for my mother for Mother's Day. As I started to turn the pillow cover right side out, I cringed and anticipated a disaster. Much to my surprise, it was beautiful! From that day on, I was hooked, and sewing quickly became a passion.
