Welcome to Quirtic
Quirtic started as a simple idea: the things people made in the mid-twentieth century were better. Better designed, better built, better proportioned. And when they end up in a clearance or a house move, they deserve better than the skip.
We look for two kinds of things. Mid-century objects with genuine design credentials - the GPO telephone that connected a household for thirty years, the Art Deco clock that sat on a mantelpiece through the war, the enamelware that came out of a Belgian factory before anyone thought to make things disposable.
And brantiques - our word for branded and advertising collectibles that have crossed over from commercial object to something worth keeping. Automobilia, advertising signs, branded tins, promotional pieces. The kind of thing that was made to sell something else and ended up being worth having in its own right.
Everything is sourced by us, described honestly - condition included - and priced to reflect what it actually is rather than what someone hopes it might be.
Out with the new. In with the pre-loved.
