The journey from collector to creator
About a year ago I started colleting nail polish (a habit I got from my sister.) I love unique colors and how shiny my nails are with a full maincure. Within a few months I started layering polishes and quickly made the jump to mixing them. In the meantime, my husband and I were struggling to make ends meet, wondering if we'd be able to pay rent every month and praying I'd be getting more than 5 hours a week at my job where I work as a PRN x-ray tech....then I stumbled into the world of indie polish. I was amazed by what people were making and sat down to find out how to make it myself. I probably spent 2 whole months researching, a month waiting for supplies and after that 3 months of experimenting. It was quite awhile before I worked up the courage to show my products to friends and family and a few months after that I finally was confident enough in my products to start selling them. This has been an incredible journey and I have learned a lot but I am always learning more. As of now I create colors on a small-scale but hope to someday be able to mass produce my colors and be able to ship them around the world. The biggest payoff is seeing others enjoy something I made as I put a lot of though, effort and love into every bottle of polish I sell. Please take a look at what I have available and keep an eye out for new things as I usually put up new ones every couple of weeks.

I am a cosmetic fanatic turned creator. I make cosmectics and sell them from my home. When I'm not, I'm busy working at a local hospital where I work as a PRN X-ray tech and when I'm not doing that I'm usually laying on the couch snuggling with my furbabies :-)
This Etsy shop has been a long time in the making. I have been mixing my own nail polish for close to a year and very much enjoy it and I thought I would share my creations with you!
I enjoy experimenting with different pigments and glitters but also enjoy researching and testing them. Please know that the glitters I have selected are all high quality. I'm not that person that just goes to the craft store and buys a bunch of glitter to throw in a clear base. I am using several different cosmetic grade pigments and glitter as well as glitter that has been tested and confirmed to work well in nail polish. Part of the reason why it took me so long to open this store is because I want my products to be PERFECT. That is, good formula, quality ingredients and strive to make sure that when I make a product I want it to stay the way it is when I put it in the bottle. I have been using some larger glitter that tends to curl a little after awhile (Even commercial brand nail polish with big glitter will often have glitter that curls) and I am trying to find glitters that won't.
I also plan on evolving some colors as I discover new ingredients. This insures that every bottle you buy is a special creation that only a few people may have. I am also looking into making semi-custom colors....like a couple variations of the same formula with maybe different color bases or 1 or 2 different glitters.
All in all, I'd like every person who buys my polish to cherish their bottle as a unique work of art and feel proud to wear what I make. :-)
