Updates

I set some of my items up on display in my house over the weekend and naturally my "spokesdog" had to be in the middle of everything!
Just sold! Someone can cuddle up with a rose this winter - no thorns, just soft fleece
A BIG project ! Most of my tiles are in the 4 to 8 inch size range. This is part of an order for 8 12x12 inch tiles. Pretty spectacular!

About

Most of my artwork is botanical, with designs based on my own photographs. This emphasis on plants is not surprising since my training and career were in botany, horticulture and plant pathology and I'm a dedicated (perhaps fanatic) gardener. Native wildflowers are favorite topics.

You'll find my designs created from photos I've taken, mostly in my garden, on ceramic mugs and tiles; hand screen printed note cards (many designs based on native wildflowers) and cards with my original botanical photographs – suitable for framing; also matted photos and prints. The mug and tile designs can be placed on either item so if you see a design on a mug but REALLY want it on a tile (or vice versa), let me know and I'll make what you want to buy, appear on this site as quickly as I can!

See a description of how I do screen printing at: http://rvjdesigns.com/screen%20printing.html

Production partners

  • ArtofWhere

    Montreal, QC

ArtofWhere produces all items in their studio in Montreal Canada. They handle everything from printing through sewing, using my designs, in house. They offer a number of items on which my designs can be reproduced that are not available to me now.

  • Fine Art America

    Chicago, IL

On demand printing from my original design on a variety of items.

  • Port-to-Print

    Madison, WI

My more complex computer graphics designs were impossible for me to reproduce with silk screen printing. I learned about creating art work for 4 color process printing, Pantone colors, and worked with Port-to-Print to produce these designs on cards.

  • Print on demand service

    Charlotte, NC

Printing and fulfillment of my original designs

  • Society6

    Santa Monica, CA

Society6 offers my designs on a number of items that I cannot produce myself at present (due to lack of equipment and total lack of sewing skills). My designs are beautifully reproduced by them with accurate color and excellent craftsmanship.

  • Top Promotions

    Middleton, WI

Since I can't do multiple color garment printing in my home studio, I work with a local business to reproduce my original Madison and Wisconsin inspired designs, created from my photos and imagination, on T shirts and sweat shirts.
