About

I always find my way back to weaving.....

My love of handcrafting started as a youngster learning to knit, crochet, and sew. My introduction to fiber arts happened when I saw a woman at our county fair spinning straight off an angora rabbit. I was hooked!

The magic of weaving started for me over 14 years ago when my husband and I were on a farm and fiber tour in upstate New York. I saw this nifty, but odd looking contraption sitting on a shelf. I mentioned something to my husband about how interesting it was, and the leapt back inside the shop to buy it for me (thank you). That was my start with my first inkle loom.

After many years of fiddling on it, testing different yarns and patterns, I became serious about learning various techniques. This also led me to experiment with other small loom set ups, especially weaving with a backstrap set up.

If I had to say I had a specialty, it would be the patterns that fall under the "pick-up" methods, and tablet woven (also known as card weaving). I absolutely love them and watch the magic of the pattern emerge. They take longer to make, but well worth the effort.

Here on Etsy I would like to share the handwoven items and the occasional knit or crochet pieces I have made. Each piece is made with love and gives me much needed relaxation!

Thank you so much for visiting!

Please note that I send packages USPS First Class Mail with Tracking. First Class generally takes 2 to 5 days.
